Pomona Heritage to Install New Officers

PRESS RELEASE

Pomona Heritage, a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation, will be installing its new officers for 2005 at a special installation dinner to be held at Pomona Mining Company on Sunday, January 30. Cocktails will begin at 6:30 with dinner being served at 7:00 pm. In addition to the installation of officers, Heritage Architecture and Reseach of San Diego will be presenting their draft conservation plan for the Pomona Fox Theater.

Heritage, founded by architect Wayne Donaldson who is currently serving as the state historic preservation officer, was contracted by the city of Pomona to conduct a conservation plan for the theater under a grant from the J. Paul Getty Foundation's Preserve LA program.

"We're very pleased to be able to share this information with our membership and the community at large," stated Pomona Heritage President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Pomona Fox Corporation, Mike Schowalter. "We are, overall, very pleased with the quality and depth of the report and look forward to the time when many of its suggestions can be implemented."

The installation dinner tickets are $35, which includes the meal and all activities. Guests who wish to not partake of dinner, but who wish to attend the presentation, are also invited to attend. There is no charge for the presentation.
